Susanne Pender PgCertSART, BSc(Hons), MCSP, HCPC, MIRVAP
Susanne is a Chartered Physiotherapist and a small animal Veterinary Physiotherapist specialising in all aspects of canine healthcare and advanced hydrotherapy. She lives in Surrey and regularly commutes to work at K9HS as she embraces our animal centred practice that provides dogs and owners a complete therapy rehabilitation package.
Susanne assists Barbara on the face to face training courses delivered at K9HS and has developed the K9HS feline clinical service. As the current serving Co Chair of the Institute of Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists (IRVAP) and member of the HCPC, her active role in the canine therapy industry has resulted in formative changes at all levels. She supports and mentors the many of her para professionals.
She has spent the past 20 years specialising in neurological conditions both within the NHS and privately providing her with a very strong background in movement analysis, recognising dysfunction and creating treatment approaches to meet the needs of the individual and significantly improving their efficiency and function at all levels.
She enjoys research and has added an extra dynamic to the K9HS team with her neuro experience and enthusiasm in organising a range of systems and protocols to achieve a smooth running and cohesive team approach. In her spare time Susanne enjoys gundog training, walking her dogs and looking after her herd of alpacas.
